1.
Live-in
Weekends: Offered
twice a year, these weekends have provided men from 9th
grade through post-college age a chance to visit the minor
seminary of the diocese and, using a retreat format, pray and
dialogue with seminarians and faculty.
2.
Spiritual
Direction: A
spiritual director is a spiritual companion who is in a
confidential relationship with you.
A spiritual director is someone who listens to what is
important to you and helps point out how God is active in your
life.
3.
Shadow a
Priest/Seminarian: Spend
a day with a priest as he lives out his daily ministry in the
parish. This
provides you with an opportunity to “get the feel” of what
a priest’s life is like. Take part in the life of a seminarian at Saint Mark Seminary
by attending classes, meals, prayer, and recreation. See what it is like first-hand to be a seminarian.
4.
Summer Vocation
Opportunities: Summertime
offers a much more relaxed atmosphere to explore and discuss
questions about being a priest.
Activities vary, but usually include meals and
recreation activities at the seminary or with seminarians in
formation.
5.
Celebrate
Ordination to the Priesthood:
The Vocation Office can arrange for tickets for
Cathedral seating for vocation guests at every priesthood
ordination. Nothing
inspires like the Mass of Ordination the Priesthood.
Feel the touch of the Holy Spirit.
6.
Diocesan-sponsored
Retreats: We
are fortunate to have youth and young adult retreat
opportunities available in the Diocese of Erie.
While not specifically vocation retreats, these
programs offer a man an opportunity to deepen his relationship
with Jesus Christ.
